Importance of Sunscreen

Spring is here, and many forget that the sun can bring bitter wrinkles to your beautiful skin. A woman should never leave the house without the bare essential of sunscreen, even if its combined in your moisturizer. The importance of sunscreen will be noticed only after the wrinkles and age spots appear.

By that time, you’d have to go through some lengthy and costly procedures to correct what you could have anticipated way beforehand. Take this advice to the core… it can save you from skin cancer and undesirable pre-mature aging.

SPF Level Look for SPF 30 sunscreens that contain zinc oxide, titanium dioxide, avobenzone or Mexoryl.

Re-Application It takes one ounce to cover the body, and if you’re in the sun for six hours, reapply twice.

“Waterproof” Innuendo Labels will refer to SPF as water-resistant, which protects for up to 40 minutes, or very water resistant, for up to 80 minutes. Reapply accordingly.

Head Protection Always use a hair sun protector for your scalp—it’s less greasy than a lotion.

Protect Yourself! Thirty-five percent of women still aren’t wearing sunscreen at all. You should not leave the house without at least protecting your face. Make it a daily habit to protect yourself against premature wrinkles and age spots.
